Internet Safety Training
Huge thanks to the Board of Management for sponsoring the Internet Safety Training Seminars for pupils and parents which took place on May 8th. Thanks to the many parents and staff who attended on Monday night. It was agreed it was an eye-opener for all of us and most informative on the potential dangers of social media and keeping our children safe while using the internet. A PDF document of the content of the seminar has been emailed to all families and it is advisable for all parents to read and familiarise themselves with how best to protect your child(ren).
We are delighted to announce that next September there will be a before and after schools club in the old school. This new venture is being run by Ladybirds 2. Ladybirds 2 will be open from 7 am to 9am for a Breakfast Club. After school service is open from 1:45-6:10. Hot home cooked meals will be available, homework will be finished, outdoor and indoor activities provided with fully qualified staff and home from home entertainment. Junior School Tour
A very enjoyable day out to Kidstown and Ballina playground took place on the 20th of June for Junior Infants-2nd Class. All came home tired but happy and the beautiful weather added to the tour.
As you are all aware by now, Mr Denis Barry is moving on to pastures greener in his native Limerick next school year and we all wish him the best of luck as he takes on a new challenges at Sexton St. Although we are very sorry to say goodbye we extend our sincere thanks to him and hope he will be very happy there.
We also extend our thanks to Ms. Aisling Ryan, Ms Cara Morrissey and Mr Daniel Ryan who are leaving us shortly. We wish them all the best in their future careers.
We say farewell also to the nineteen boys and girls in 6th class who have completed their education at Youghalarra N.S. We wish them all the best taking the next step in their education.
