Buddy Reading

To promote the love of reading we had a buddy reading programme between the children in the junior and senior classes. This was a great success as all children loved the reading experience and also made friends for life.

Debating

We encourage the children to construct a debate around a given topic. This is great fun for the children but is also a very good mental exercise.

Literacy Search for Talent

The Literacy Search for Talent programme was run in the school to encourage the children to read new types of literature and learn intonation and expression when reading aloud.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

‘Sé an fís atá againn i S.N. Eochaille Ara ná go mbeadh na páistí ábalta an Ghaeilge a úsáid mar theanga chaidrimh. Chuige sin, úsaideamar gaeilge sa scoil i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge.  D’éirigh go hiontach linn. Bhí ceol, caint agus píosa craic againn. An Ghaeilge abú ! Ina dhiaidh sin, bhí Lá Glas againn. Tugadh cuireadh do no páistí éadaí glasa a chaitheamh in áit éadaí scoile don ócáid. Ghlac said leis an gcuireadh!
